Ultrasound

ACR Accredited

Safe, non-invasive imaging using sound waves for real-time visualization.

About This Service

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of organs, tissues, and blood flow. It is completely safe, painless, and uses no radiation, making it ideal for a wide variety of diagnostic evaluations.

Common Uses

  • Abdominal organ evaluation (liver, gallbladder, kidneys)
  • Thyroid and neck imaging
  • Vascular studies (Doppler ultrasound)
  • Pelvic and obstetric imaging
  • Musculoskeletal evaluation (muscles, tendons, joints)
  • Evaluation of lumps and soft tissue swelling

How to Prepare

Preparation varies by exam type. For abdominal ultrasound, you may need to fast for 8-12 hours. For pelvic ultrasound, a full bladder may be required. We will provide specific instructions when you schedule.
