Appointments

How do I book an appointment?
Use our online appointment request form at /contact, or call (718) 319-1610. We offer same-week scheduling for most services and walk-in availability for basic X-rays.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes — we welcome new patients across all specialties. You'll be asked whether you're a new patient on the online request form so we can set aside extra intake time.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We accept walk-ins for X-ray imaging and some primary care visits. For MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammogram, and specialist appointments, we strongly recommend scheduling in advance.
What are your hours?
Monday–Thursday and Saturday–Sunday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. We are open every day of the week.

Insurance & billing

What insurance do you accept?
We accept most major commercial plans, Medicare, and Medicaid. Please call (718) 319-1610 to confirm your specific plan before your visit.
How do I pay my bill?
You can pay online through our Bill Pay link, by phone, or in person at our Parkchester office. Credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and payment plans are accepted.
Do you offer self-pay pricing?
Yes — please contact us for a cash-pay estimate on specific imaging or consultations. We aim to keep our self-pay rates fair and transparent.

Imaging & radiology

How should I prepare for an MRI?
Remove metal objects and electronics before the scan. For abdominal/pelvic MRIs you may be asked to fast for 4 hours. Tell the technologist if you have any implanted medical devices or are pregnant.
Is your imaging center ACR accredited?
Yes — Starling Health is an ACR (American College of Radiology) accredited imaging center, a mark of quality in equipment, staff, and procedures.
How quickly do I get my imaging results?
Most imaging studies are interpreted within 24–48 hours. Urgent findings are called to your ordering physician same-day. You'll get a copy through the patient portal.

Portal, records & communication

How do I access the patient portal?
Click "Patient Portal" in the top navigation or visit the Patients page. You will be taken to our secure portal where you can view results, manage appointments, and message your care team.
How do I request a medication refill?
Request refills through the patient portal or by calling our office at (718) 319-1610. Please allow 24–48 business hours for prescription refill requests.
How do I request my medical records?
Fill out the medical records release form available through the patient portal or in our office. We honor requests within 30 days as required by HIPAA.

Where are you located?
Starling Health is at 1480 East Avenue, Bronx, NY 10462 — in Parkchester, one block east of East Tremont Avenue.
How do I get there by public transit?
Take the 6 train to Parkchester and walk east on East Tremont Avenue to East Avenue. Bx4, Bx4A, Bx22, Bx36, and Bx39 buses stop nearby.
Is there parking?
Street parking is available; the Parkchester South Condominium garage is also nearby for paid parking.
