Echocardiogram

ACR Accredited

Detailed ultrasound imaging of the heart to evaluate cardiac function.

About This Service

An echocardiogram uses ultrasound technology to create detailed, real-time images of your heart. This painless test allows our cardiologists to evaluate heart structure, valve function, and pumping efficiency.

Common Uses

  • Heart valve evaluation
  • Heart muscle function assessment
  • Heart failure monitoring
  • Congenital heart defect detection
  • Blood clot detection
  • Pericardial disease evaluation

How to Prepare

Arrive 15 minutes early with your referral or prescription and your insurance card. No fasting is needed and you can take your usual medications. Wear a comfortable two-piece outfit, since you will undress from the waist up and wear a gown for the test. The test is painless, takes about 30-45 minutes, and you may resume normal activities immediately after.
